While acknowledging that many women would love to film racy scenes with her co-star in 'Blue Valentine', the 'Wendy and Lucy' actress admits she wasn't excited filming the scenes.
Michelle Williams has got a chance to film steamy sex scenes with "
The Notebook" star
Ryan Gosling for "
Blue Valentine", but she admitted she wasn't too enthusiastic for the job. Recalling the day she has to shoot for the racy scenes, the 29-year-old told MTV, "I don't wake up and jump out of bed on that day. Although many women would."
Coming to 2010 Sundance Film Festival to promote the romantic drama, the Alma Beers of "
Brokeback Mountain" also missed out on the screening. She later explained her reason, "When the movie screened the other day, me and the kid [4-year-old daughter Matilda], neither of us were old enough to watch that movie. So we colored in Tinker Bell pictures for two hours and played pirate games."
While Williams chose to ditch the screening, her co-star Gosling brought along his mother to watch the movie together. "I watched it with my mother, she was beside me," the former boyfriend of actress
Rachel McAdams said. On how he made sure his mother didn't see his steamy scenes, he shared, "I gave her an iPod. And when the naughty scenes came on, I pressed 'play' and covered her eyes."
Directed by Derek Cianfrance, "Blue Valentine" has Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling playing a contempo married couple Cindy and David. While Cindy has blossomed into a woman with opportunities and options, David is still the same person he was when they first met, and he is unable to accept either Cindy's growth or his lack of it.
