GaGa opens the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards along with Elton John, while Swift sings a duet with Stevie Nicks and Beyonce rocks the stage with Alanis Morissette's 'You Oughta Know'.
The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards has been made merry with performances from various musicians. Multiple winners Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift and Beyonce Knowles were among the few who took the Staples Center's stage on Sunday, January 31 to entertain the audience with their his songs and collaborations.
GaGa hit the stage early, opening the awards show by presenting a Fame Factory performance. Singing her popular song "Poker Face", the dance queen was seen belting out the song in a green outfit with head-high shoulder pads. After being thrown into a "Rejected" tube, she re-appeared with Elton John on the piano. They sang her ballad "Speechless" with a little bit of his "Your Song".
Later on, Beyonce came up on stage to deliver her performance. Introduced by Simon Baker, she sang her hit single "If I Were a Boy" with the company of dancers dressing in what appears to be a squadron of riot police. The wife of Jay-Z then followed it up with her rendition of Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know".
Swift took the stage after those two performed. The 20-year-old country crooner rocked the stage by previewing her "Valentine's Day" track, "Today was a Fairytale". She then collaborated with Stevie Nicks, singing their version of Fleetwood Mac's 1970s song "Rhiannon", before finally singing her hit single "You Belong with Me".
2010 Grammy Awards is aired live on CBS. Black Eyed Peas and Lady Antebellum are among the performers for the special night. Beyonce Knowles has won five Grammys on the special night, while Lady GaGa and Taylor Swift took home two awards so far. A special 3-D Michael Jackson tribute has been shown, before Lionel Richie presented the King of Pop's kids with their father's lifetime achievement award.
