Blake Lively Braces the Cold Winter for 'Gossip Girl'

Returning to the set of The CW's teen drama for another episode shooting, the Serena van der Woodsen depicter is spotted wrapped in a full-length black down-filled parka.

Despite the chilly temperature of New York City, Blake Lively plunged herself into the production of "Gossip Girl". On Monday, February 1, the actress who takes on the role of Serena van der Woodsen on The CW's teen drama was spotted on the set wrapped in a full-length black down-filled parka.

The 22-year-old star of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" was captured on camera walking alongside her publicist Leslie Sloane. The actress who plays young Pippa Lee in "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee" was not the only "Gossip Girl" actress bracing the cold weather. Kelly Rutherford and Taylor Momsen were also dressed in warm outfit as they make their way to the set.

Blake Lively recently shared to Esquire magazine that it is not hard for her to slip into Serena after three seasons playing the part. "I can snap into Serena very easily," she said. "The way I dress as Serena is pretty much the way I dress as me. I'm living in New York City, shooting in New York City. I'm in a comfort zone."

Famous for her TV role, Lively has been seen in several feature films. She have a number of movies on her sleeves. She will be seen in Ben Affleck-directed "The Town" when it hits U.S. theaters on September 10, and has been tapped to play Carol Ferris, Hal Jordan's love interest, in "Green Lantern".
