The 'Love Happens' actress will host the screening of 'The Last Station' later in February to raise funds for AmeriCares, an organization that has been sending medical aid to the devastated country.
Jennifer Aniston will host a charity event to raise funds for the victims of earthquake-stricken Haiti. As reported by E! News, the "
Marley & Me" actress will hold a screening of 2009 drama "
The Last Station", which stars Christopher Plummer,
Helen Mirren and
James McAvoy, later in February.
The minimum price of the Oscar-nominated movie screening is $100 per ticket and goes as high as $50,000. The price includes a post-screening cocktail party with the movie's director Michael Hoffman. All proceeds of the charity event will go to AmeriCares, an organization that has been sending medical aid to the devastated country.
"AmeriCares delivered nearly $10 million in lifesaving medical aid for earthquake survivors in Haiti," Aniston said, as quoted from the invitation sent to friends and colleagues. "They have a longstanding commitment to the people of Haiti and will continue to send relief in the days, weeks, months and years ahead."
Jennifer Aniston has participated in several other charities to help the devastated country. She took part in
George Clooney's "Hope for Haiti" telethon on Friday, January 22. Soon after her appearance on the telecast, the ex-wife of
Brad Pitt reportedly donated $500,000 to various relief organizations, including AmeriCares, Doctors Without Borders and Partners in Health.
