'Basically I want her back and [I'm] kind of going through the whole thing,' the 'One Less Lonely Girl' singer shares on the set of the video for his lead single off 'My World (Part 2)'.
Justin Bieber will be seen trying hard to win his girlfriend back in a music video for his new single "Baby". Met on the set by MTV recently, the 15-year-old cracked open the concept behind the video companion of the song. He explained that the video will bring to life the message in his song, that is, trying to woo back a girl.
"It starts off, I really like this girl, but we didn't [get] along; we couldn't be together," the pop sensation at first said. He elaborated further, "Basically I want her back and [I'm] kind of going through the whole thing. I'm chasing her around, trying to get her, and she's kind of playing hard to get, but I'm persistent. I keep going."
Asked about his collaboration with
Ludacris, the "One Time" recalled, "Well, [Ludacris and I] both live in Atlanta. I met him a year prior to this and we figured it was a perfect collaboration for him, so we invited him out to do it." He in addition shot down any possibility of him rapping, "No, [I'm not planning on rapping]. Not at all. Nope."
"Baby" is the lead single from Bieber's latter half debut album, "My World (Part 2)".Debuted on January 18, the song landed #5 on Billboard Hot 100 behind among others,
Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" and
Taylor Swift's "Today Was a Fairytale". Ludacris has said that its music video is like a 2010 version of
Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel."
