To Leave Sex Rehab, Tiger Woods Could Make Shock Return to PGA

Words on the street are, the world No. 1 will be released from sex rehab by the end of this week and is poised to return to professional golf in two weeks.

As words of him to be released from sex rehab began swirling around, Tiger Woods is rumored to be making a shock return to the PGA Tour. According to the Melbourne Herald Sun, the world No. 1 golfer will come back to the green lawn as early as the Accenture Match Play Championship, which will take place in Arizona in two weeks.

Should this story contain some truth, it won't be the first time the 34-year-old made his return to professional golf using the tournament he has won three times before, in 2003, 2004 and 2008. In 2009, the troubled athlete came out to the Dove Mountain course when he made his comeback from knee surgery.

While Herald Sun brought up the story of Woods' return to golf, PGA Tour and Match Play tournament officials admitted they are in the blind on the matter. "We don't know anything officially yet, but wouldn't that be nice?" Wade Dunagan, executive director of the Match Play event, told The Arizona Daily Star. "It would mean we'd get Tiger on his return two years in a row. Very cool."

Golf comeback aside, Woods has come close to the end of his sex rehab program at Gentle Path in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Radar Online reported. He could be expected to leave the clinic by the end of this week with his wife Elin Nordegren picking him up. "He should be out by the weekend," a source said. "They are giving their marriage another try."

Since his model wife has opted to save their marriage instead of filling for divorce, Woods athlete is said planning to go away with Elin for a few days following his release. "Tiger and Elin want to be alone out of public when he leaves the clinic," another source told Radar. The disgraced athlete reportedly has been in rehab for approximately six weeks.

Tiger Woods is married to former model Elin Nordegren. The pair tied the knot in October 2004. They have two children together; daughter Sam Alexis Woods and son Charlie Axel Woods. Words of his affair with 34-year-old New Yorker Rachel Uchitel was first broken out by National Enquirer in late November. Ever since, he has been linked to at least 14 women during his marriage.
