Drake Is Not Amanda Bynes' Mysterious Guy

Slamming speculation that she might be dating the 23-year-old Canadian rapper, the 'Hairspray' actress wrote on her Twitter page on February 5 insisting she has never met him.

Amanda Bynes could be in love with a certain man out there but the sure thing is he is not Drake. The 23-year-old actress slammed the romance rumor through her Twitter account, insisting she has never met the "Best I Ever Had" rapper. She came out with the denial, tweeting, "FYI I've never met Drake!"

The "Sydney White" actress went on to explain that she and the Canadian rapper have a mutual friend, but stressed "we haven't met yet!" She ended her tweet by further laughing off any potential hook-up between her and Drake. Her tweet read, "So for some reason people think we're dating but we're not lol! :)"

As of recent time, the "Hairspray" actress has been regularly giving hints of her possible romance through Twitter. "It's amazing how good it feels when someone knows how to love your body! I am having withdrawals from a certain guy lol :)" she tweeted on February 4. "So turns out i prefer chocolate over vanilla. interesting."

The rumor that Bynes' mystery lover could be Drake came out after she expressed her disappointment upon hearing one particular nominee didn't win at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday evening, January 31. "I'm irritated that a certain guy didn't win certain awards," the former Nickelodeon star tweeted. Two minutes later, she added, "but he won my heart!!! everybody say it with me on 3! 1...2...3..... awwwwwwwwww haha :)" Drake was nominated for two prizes at the 2010 Grammy Awards but failed to bring home any that night.

While Drake is out of the picture, Amanda Bynes is yet to comment on rumor suggesting the man she was referring to is Kid Cudi. The "Day 'n' Night" hitmaker was also nominated for a few Grammys but ended up leaving empty handed. In September 2009, the "What I Like About You" actress laughed off rumors suggesting she and the 26-year-old rapper were an item as her representative came out with a statement insisting they are "just friends".
