The 'Scream 4' actor reveals that he and his 'Bedtime Stories' actress wife are thinking about the option considering the fact that they underwent difficulties when they conceived their first child.
David Arquette and
Courteney Cox are planning to expand their family and give their 5-year-old daughter a sibling to play with. The "
Scream 4" actor has recently shared that he and his "
Bedtime Stories" actress wife have been thinking about adoption in a recent interview on "The Bonnie Hunt Show".
Arquette revealed that he and Cox want a second child but the trouble they went through when they conceived their first child is still fresh in their mind. "I don't know. I mean, it takes a lot for us to do it, so maybe adoption," the "
Hamlet 2" actor said as quoted by Us Magazine on Monday, February 8. "Listen, I like practicing as much as possible! But it's hard...I'm exhausted!"
The "Pushing Daisy" actor and his actress wife have indeed gone through trouble for having a child. Back in 2003 at age 39, the former "Friends" actress underwent in-vitro fertilization to conceive their daughter Coco Cox Arquette. Their first child, whose godmother is actress
Jennifer Aniston, was born on June 13, 2004.
Reports that David Arquette and Courteney Cox considering adoption have actually come out earlier. In December 2009, National Enquirer reported that the couple sought advice from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" star Nia Vardalos, who is the 2009 National Adoption Day Coalition spokesperson. The story, however, was slammed by Cox's representative, stating that it was a "complete fabrication".
