Taking on a character named Carrie Underworm, the 'Cowboy Casanova' hitmaker appears as an orange worm when singing 'The Worm Anthem' on the show's musical segment.
"How I Met Your Mother" apparently is not the only TV show Carrie Underwood has in stores. The multiple Grammy Award-winning country singer will be making an appearance in an episode of children's TV series "Sesame Street" as an orange worm with long, blond hair and a wireless microphone.
For the episode scheduled to air on PBS on Thursday, February 11 as well as March 17, April 8 and April 26, the 26-year-old recorded "The Worm Anthem", which is made specifically for the show. In the preview video, she is introduced as Carrie Underworm by NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon and can be heard belting out, "I'm happy and I'm proud to be a worm/I can wiggle, I can squiggle, I can squirm."
As for "How I Met Your Mother", the fiancee of NHL star Mike Fisher has finished filming her guest-starring part in January. Her episode is scheduled to be aired sometime in March. Sharing about the experience, the 26-year-old singer wrote on her blog stating that she had "a blast" and the cast and crew "made me feel right at home."
Carrie Underwood recently came out for the pre-game show of Super Bowl XLIV. On Sunday, February 7, the former "American Idol" champ was seen dressed in a white jumpsuit accented with silver chains and a silver belt and sang a rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" in front of a sold-out Sun Life Stadium in Miami.
