The 'Halo' hitmaker's final Brazilian gig in the city of Salvador is marred with violence when gunmen opened fire at fans outside the venue at the end of the show.
Beyonce Knowles wrapped up her Brazilian tour with a hot performance in Salvador, but for her fans, the night was spoiled with some gun terror. On Wednesday night, February 10, fans leaving the Parque de Exposicoes venue was forced to run for cover when a gun battle broke out outside the 30,000-people-capacity stadium.
Detailing on how the gun terror started, Britain's Daily Star reported that a group of youth opened fire on partygoers waiting for taxis home. Things got even messier when police reportedly returned fire. Despite the chaos ensuing, none of the crowd were believed to have been injured because of the gun battle incident.
Beyonce Knowles herself was in Salvador as part of the Brazilian leg of her "I Am... Tour". The city was her last stop in the South American country before heading to Argentina for a performance in Buenos Aires on Friday, February 12. She kicked off her Brazilian gigs with a performance in Florianopolis on February 4.
On February 9, the "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" singer was spotted to shoot for "Put It In a Love Song" music video with
Alicia Keys. On the set, the 28-year-old songstress was seen wearing vibrant Carnival-inspired outfits completed with colorful headbands.
