Andrea, the 'Fearless' hitmaker's mother-slash-manager, is said to have been telling the 20-year-old country crooner to put her career ahead of dating boys.
Country crooner
Taylor Swift has reportedly been told not to jump into the dating game just yet by Andrea, her mother who also serves as her manager. According to a source, Andrea wants the "You Belong With Me" hitmaker to focus on her career first as she fears recent romance speculations distracts the young crooner from her work.
"Andrea has told Taylor in no uncertain terms that she must put her career ahead of dating boys," the source said, as quoted by Showbiz Spy. "Andrea, who has a firm grip on her daughter's career and personal life, thinks Taylor has worked far too hard to let everything go to the wall for the sake of a boy."
On February 5, the National Enquirer reported that Andrea has told
John Mayer not to romance her 20-year-old daughter. "Andrea has told John point blank to back off," a source said. "All John could do was to offer Andrea a compliment on raising a lovely daughter. He said he understood completely, and it was an honor enough to call Taylor his friend."
Taylor Swift has recently been linked to several Hollywood bachelors. Beside John Mayer, she is also reported getting up close and personal with "Glee" star
Cory Monteith and her "
Valentine's Day" co-star
Taylor Lautner.
