has dazzled a crowd of onlookers as she gracefully walked down the red carpet at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany on Saturday, February 13. The 29-year-old actress attended the event in support of her upcoming thriller "
Shutter Island".
The actress, who stars as
Leonardo DiCaprio's on-screen wife in the movie, looked stunningly beautiful in her black and white Chanel dress. The color of the clothing she chose for the event complimented the former fiancee of
Heath Ledger's wavy blond hair which she tied loosely at the nape of her neck.
The "
Brokeback Mountain" actress wasn't the only star of the movie who came out on the special night. While she impressed others with her red carpet dress, her co-star DiCaprio offered a sleek look as he donned formal black suit. Joining both leading stars at the premiere were
Ben Kingsley and Mark Ruffalo as well as the movie's director Martin Scorsese.
Shutter Island revolves around two U.S. marshals, who investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane on an island in Massachusetts. The movie was originally set to hit U.S. theaters on October 2, 2009. Because of the recession, however, the release date was pushed by Paramount Pictures to February 19, 2010.
