The former star of 'The Simple Life' reportedly made the revelation during a taping of 'Late Show with David Letterman' on Monday night, February 15.
Having been together for more than three years,
Nicole Richie and her
Good Charlotte boyfriend Joel Madden are engaged to be married. Us Magazine reported that the former star of "The Simple Life" was the one who made the announcement when she visited "Late Show with David Letterman" on Monday night, February 15.
In an interview with host
David Letterman, the 28-year-old socialite confessed that she and her rocker boyfriend have decided it's time for them to make it official. Additionally, a source told Us, "Nicole and Joel are in the process of planning the wedding. She's very involved in every detail. She's thrilled."
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden began dating in December 2006. The couple have two children together, 2-year-old daughter Harlow and 5-month-old son Sparrow. They had been reported getting engaged for several times before, but the two have always nixed any engagement rumors swirling around.
In an earlier interview with CNN's
Larry King, Richie stated that she and Madden were in no rush to tie the knot. "I think for both of us, we are going to do it because we want to, not because that's what you do," the adopted daughter of
Lionel Richie explained at the time. "We're going to do it when the time's right."
