Taking it to her Twitter account, the season 7 champion of 'Dancing with the Stars' reveals that she will have a screen testing to replace Samantha Harris.
Season 7 champion
Brooke Burke could be making her return on "Dancing with the Stars", but not as one of season 10 contestants. On Tuesday, February 16, the 38-year-old TV personality confirmed that she is up to take over the co-hosting job on the dancing competition show from Samantha Harris, who has announced her leave earlier this year.
The former host of "Wild On!" took it to her Twitter account to announce the exciting news. "btw, the news about me hosting DWTS is true," she tweeted. "I am screen testing next week for the job, fingers crossed! It would be amazing 2 be back!" Earlier, she posted a message to her former dancing partner Derek Hough, "OMG! I remember that feeling like yesterday. I'm screen testing next week to be there with ya!"
Should she land the gig, Brooke Burke will return to the dance floor when season 10 of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres on March 22. E! News previously reported that the wife of
David Charvet was among the three serious contenders on the run for the role. Her competitions were said to be Melissa Rycroft and
Vanessa Minnillo. ABC has yet to give comment on Burke's confirmation.
"Dancing With the Stars" wrapped season nine by crowing
Donny Osmond and his professional dancing partner Kym Johnson as the new winners. Announcement of the contestants for the new season will be made on March 1. Former Playboy playmate
Pamela Anderson has been rumored to be among them.
