Planning to Make Public Apology, Tiger Woods Out for a Jog

Hours after his agent came out with a press release regarding his public apology, the professional golfer was snapped exercising near his home in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, February 17.

After months going off radar, Tiger Woods has finally exposed himself to the public eye. On Wednesday, February 17, just hours after his agent came out with a statement that the world's #1 golfer will make a public apology at golf course on Friday, February 19, he was captured on camera near his Florida home for the first time since he crashed his Cadillac in November 2009.

Wearing a black cap, a black Nike shirt and gray shorts, the professional athlete was snapped jogging near his home in Orlando, Florida. Looking plumper than he normally was, the 34-year-old didn't run all by himself though. The husband of Elin Nordegren was accompanied by an unidentified male buddy. Hours earlier, agent Mark Steinberg released a statement through Wood's official website. "Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at 11:00 A.M. EST on Friday at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla," the statement read. "Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future, and he plans to apologize for his behavior."

"While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him," the statement continued explaining. "He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that's what he's going to discuss. His remarks will be open to a press pool for live coverage. It is NOT a news conference".

Tiger Woods has recently finished his sex rehab program at Gentle Path in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He left the clinic in early February with reports saying wife Elin Nordegren picking him up. The golfer has been in rehab for approximately six weeks following the blowing-up of his alleged affairs with a number of women in late 2009.
