The latest music video from the 25-year-old singer for the soundtrack of 'Alice in Wonderland' gives a glimpse of the magical land.
A music video for
Avril Lavigne's "Alice (Underground)" has finally hit the web. Almost four minutes long, the video was made in companion of the 25-year-old singer's contribution to "
Alice in Wonderland" soundtrack album, and takes viewers to experience a little journey to the magical land.
The music video was shot in January and was directed by Dave Meyers. Sharing her excitement shooting the video, the punk princess who served as a guest judge on "American Idol", posted a video on her official page. "This is such a cool project to be part of," she is heard saying in the video. "I'm very excited to be shooting my music video today. I hope you guys enjoy the music video and the song."
The "Girlfriend" hitmaker has previously described "Alice (Underground)", which part of lyrics read "trippin' out, spinnin' around, I'm underground, I fell down", as "a little darker". The single is produced and mixed by her ex-husband Deryck Whibley.
Entitled "Almost Alice", the "Alice in Wonderland" soundtrack album itself consists of songs from famous musicians. Beside Avril Lavigne,
The All-American Rejects,
Tokio Hotel,
Franz Ferdinand, 3OH!3 and
Metro Station also contributed to the album that will be made available for purchase in stores across the U.S. on March 2.
