The 'Forever' hitmaker has been given a praise at a progress review at the Los Angeles Superior Court as a judge says he is 'doing really, really well'.
Chris Brown's commitment to become a better person has turned into a good result. At a progress review at the Los Angeles Superior Court in Los Angeles on Thursday, February 18, a judge praised the singer for making good progress with the terms of his probation.
The 20-year-old singer, who personally appeared at the review, received the good feedback from Judge Patricia M. Schnegg. "Looks like you're doing really, really well [fulfilling your probation terms]," Schnegg told the "Forever" hitmaker, as quoted by People magazine. The judge further added, "That's always good to see."
Giving detail on why Brown has earned the praise, the publication stated that the "Crawl" hitmaker has managed to complete 17 out of 52 group sessions for domestic violence and has never miss one session. In addition to the impressive attendance, Judge Schnegg mentioned he has also completed 32 days of hard labor. His next hearing will be on May 11.
Brown has also been praised by his friends for his effort in getting his life and career back on track. MTV reporter Sway Calloway stated, "He's been doing work and speaking in circles with people who also have been victimized by domestic violence." He also said the "I Can Transform Ya" hitmaker has learned his lesson that "when you're a celebrity, public perception is fragile".
In August 2009, Chris Brown was sentenced to serve five years probation and to spend six months of community labor for his assault on his then-girlfriend
Rihanna in February the same year. The "Sing Like Me" hitmaker was also ordered not to contact the "Rude Boy" hitmaker for the next five years and to take a year of domestic violence classes.
