The 'Smallville' alum and the 'I Love You, Beth Cooper' actor will be playing newlywed couple still learning about each other on the new CBS comedy pilot.

Kristin Kreuk will be adding another television credit to her resume. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 27-year-old actress has been tapped as one of the leads on a new comedy pilot for CBS, titled "Hitched". She will be starring opposite "
I Love You, Beth Cooper" actor Jack Carpenter.
The "
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" star and her 25-year-old co-star will take on the role of a newly married couple who is still learning about each other while surrounded by their family and friends. This TV project reunites her with "Chuck" co-creator Josh Schwartz, who co-wrote the new comedy with Matt Miller.
The half-hour sitcom "Hitched" will be produced by Warner Bros. "
Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian" actor Eugene Levy has been cast earlier to portray Jack Carpenter's on-screen father. His character is described as a tracksuit-wearing four-times-divorced lothario.
Best known for her portrayal of Lana Lang in "Smallville", Kristin Kreuk has signed on for multiple episode appearance on "Chuck". In The CW's series, she is seen portraying Hannah, a new member of Nerd Herd who provides obstacles in the Sarah and Chuck's romance department. Meanwhile, her co-star Carpenter is known for his Dash role in "The Return of Jezebel James".
