Getting emotionally invested in Mischa Barton's Gladys, Mariska Hargitay's Olivia Benson tries to persuades the young prostitute to lead a better life.
Mischa Barton will be making her "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" debut with her guest-starring role as a pregnant prostitute named Gladys. While her guest stint won't be hitting the small screen until March, NBC has shared a sneak peek at her performance through a two-minute clip.
The sneak preview captures the scene between Gladys and Mariska Hargitay's Detective Olivia Benson as the latter gets emotionally invested in a case involving the murder of several young prostitutes. Speaking to Gladys in her room, Benson tries to persuade the surviving victim of an attempt murder into leaving her sex-selling life.
Barton has shot her guest part in mid-January, and was rumored to have shown "unprofessionalism" on the set. The Marissa Cooper of "The O.C." was reported to have annoyed the cast and crew of the NBC crime show after turning the filming of one scene into a 10-hour day because she kept on messing her lines. Her rep, however, was quick to issue a denial to the story.
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" returns to the small screen on March 3 with an episode entitled "Savior". The particular episode which sees Mischa Barton in the guest-starring role will be aired at 10 P.M. on NBC.
