2010 NME Awards: Jonas Brothers Voted Worst Band Again

The musical trio has also collected the unwanted prize of Worst Album, while Lady GaGa receives contradicting prizes at this year's Shockwaves NME Awards.

Winners of 2010 Shockwaves NME Awards have been unraveled in a gala ceremony taking place at the O2 Academy Brixton on Wednesday, February 24, and Jonas Brothers has once again come out with two of the unwanted kudos. For two consecutive years, the musical trio were voted Worst Band and Worst Album makers.

This year, the pop rock band who weren't attending the show came ahead of Green Day, Oasis, Paramore and JLS in the Worst Band category. As for the Worst Album prize, they collected it for their "Lines Vines Trying Times" album. They 'beat' the likes of Lady Gaga, Green Day, Arctic Monkeys and U2.

While the band consisting of Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas continued on their negative streak at the annual music awards, Lady GaGa presented an interesting twist to the winners list. The "Poker Face" hitmaker was revealed as the winner of both Best and Worst Dressed awards, thanks to her outrageous outfits.

Kasabian and Muse, in the meantime, came out as the real winners at the awards founded by NME with two kudos each. Kasabian nailed Best Album and Best Album Artwork for their "West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum" set, while Muse took home the title of Best British Band as well as Best Website.

2010 Shockwaves NME Awards also sees Kanye West being dubbed Villain of the Year for interrupting Taylor Swift's Best Female Video acceptance speech at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. The show was made merry with the live performance by Kasabian, Marina and the Diamonds, Lily Allen, The Big Pink, Hole and The Maccabees.
