50 Cent's feud with another rapper
Rick Ross in 2009 has landed him a legal problem. A Florida woman named Lastonia Leviston has, on Wednesday, February 24, filed a lawsuit against the "In Da Club" rapper for distributing her homemade sex video without her consent, The Associated Press reported.
Seeking unspecified monetary damages, the woman believed to be Ross' ex-girlfriend claimed that Fiddy unauthorizedly used her name or image when posting the video she made with a lover in 2008 on his Thisis50 website. She added that the public release of the video has caused emotional distress. "The video has been viewed by millions including by persons in New York," her attorney explained in court documents.
The New York Daily News additionally mentioned that Leviston has asked her former boyfriend to destroy the tape and he has agreed before possibly selling it to Fiddy. She further explained that the video blurred out her lover's face but not hers, and saw the 34-year-old rapper editing himself into the video and labeling her a "call girl".
The posting of the sex tape was part of a long-running beef between Fiddy and Ross. The feud was ignited by the latter's track entitled "Mafia Music", which several lines seem to diss the former. In his response, Fiddy released a number of dis-heavy mixtape songs, mocking animated videos and a clip in which he interviewed Ross' former partner Tia Kemp.
