The 'For Your Entertainment' hitmaker confirms his appearance on the reality TV competition through his Twitter account, adding he 'can't reveal the date yet but it's a ways off'.
Adam Lambert will once again take the "American Idol" stage, but this time he won't be a contestant. Making use of his Twitter account, the 28-year-old singer announced on Friday, February 26 that he will make an appearance as a performer on a future season nine episode of the singing competition.
"Yes, I have been booked on Idol!" the "For Your Entertainment" singer confirmed in a tweet. Though expressing his excitement for the booking, the "Whataya Want from Me" hitmaker kept a tight lip over the date of his performance. "Can't reveal the date yet," the season 8 runner-up stated, before teasing, "but it's a ways off...So excited."
Adam Lambert is the latest "Idol" alum tapped to make a performance on the show. During the Top 24 result show on Thursday, February 25, his fellow season 8 alums
Kris Allen and
Allison Iraheta have taken the stage. Allen sang "Let It Be", while Iraheta debuted "Scars". Of , Lambert tweeted, "Kris and Allison were awesome last night."
