Anna Kendrick Reveals Her Oscar Date

Asked about whom she will be bringing as her date to the 82nd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 7, the 'Up in the Air' star unveils that she will be accompanied by her mother and brother.

As the day of the gala ceremony of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards is approaching, Anna Kendrick opens up about whom she will be bringing to the special event. Speaking to E! News about the matter, the "Up in the Air" beauty confessed that she won't be bringing boyfriend, instead she chose to go with her mother and brother.

"I'm flying them out. I'm so excited," the 24-year-old actress told the publication when attending Zac Posen's celebration for his new Z Spoke collection in Beverly Hills on Saturday, February 27. Sharing what her mother looks forward to during the special occasion, she added, "My mom wants to meet George Clooney."

The Jessica Stanley in the "Twilight Saga" series also recalled the day she learned about her Oscar nomination. "I was too nervous to sit and watch the nominations, so I went for a run at five in the morning," she said. "I just waited for my roommate to text me. And then it was actually really nice because I was sort of alone in the dark. I kind of wanted to shout, but I didn't want to wake everyone up at 5:30 in the morning."

Anna Kendrick received Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her part as Natalie Keener in "Up in the Air". She is up against Penelope Cruz, Vera Farmiga, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Mo'Nique. Beside the coveted Oscars, the actress who takes on Stacey Pilgrim in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" also received nomination for BAFTAs and Golden Globes among many others.

Nominees of 2010 Academy Awards has been announced on February 2, and its gala ceremony will take place March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California with Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin serving as hosts.
