Keyshia Cole Announces Birth of Baby Boy

Through her representative, the 'Trust' singer reveals that her first son with Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson is named Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr. and was born on Tuesday, March 2.

Keyshia Cole and Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson have been blessed with the birth of their first child together on Tuesday, March 2. In a statement sent to Us Magazine, publicist Tresa Sanders said that the happy parents "are proud to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy, Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr."

Sanders detailed that the 28-year-old singer's son was born at 11:54 P.M. and weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. "Both mother and baby are doing great," she added. "The proud couple would like to thank everyone for giving them privacy during this special time. Keyshia would also like to give a special thank you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist."

Keyshia Cole confirmed that she was indeed pregnant on January 8. Through a statement for her fans, the star of reality show "Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is" spoke about starting a family. "Now that I am becoming a mom, my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority," part of the statement read.

As for her relationship with Daniel Gibson, the close friend of singer Monica has become engaged to him with "an incredible ring" on New Year's Eve, her representative unveiled in early January. "When he asked her to marry him, she was flabbergasted... her mouth dropped in amazement," the rep teased on the engagement ring. "It's too beautiful for words."
