Trainer Cindy Percival has filed a lawsuit against the 'Russian Roulette' singer, claiming she never got a check for a couple of weeks of work in 2009.
Keeping an amazing physique has apparently brought legal trouble for
Rihanna. A personal trainer has filed a lawsuit against the "Russian Roulette" hitmaker in L.A County Superior Court last week. The trainer identified as Cindy Percival claimed that the singer owed her $26,144.14 in unpaid wages from 2009.
In the lawsuit, Percival detailed that she was hired by Rihanna to perform "exclusive personal training services" for $1,500 per day, but the ex-girlfriend of
Chris Brown failed to pay her for a few days worth of work between September and October. She also looks for $2,644.14 in travel expenses, reasoning she had to travel all over Europe for the work.
Discussing the legal issue further was Percival's attorney Scott Fischer. To E! News, the lawman explained, "She was made exclusively available to Rihanna. She essentially stopped seeing her other clients and devoted her time to being available to Rihanna whenever she wanted to be trained. Some of that involved travel."
"There's no explanation whatsoever," Fischer continued on explaining the reason why they resorted to file the suit. "Her management got a hold of Cindy and informed her there would be no further need for her services; but, in the meantime, Cindy had submitted invoices for payment and they weren't honoring the invoices."
"We sent the demand letter to them a month ago and they sent a response letter essentially ignoring the agreement," the lawyer moreover detailed. "It's a shame that Rihanna won't honor her payments to her trainer." He added that the lawsuit's "in the process of service right now."
