Apparition has finally unleashed the full trailer of "The Runaways". The video preview is narrated by Dakota Fanning's Cherie Currie as she introduces herself and bandmate Kristen Stewart's Joan Jett. Throughout the trailer, she explains how the world views them and what they aspire to be.
In addition to this trailer, the re-recorded version of the all-girl rock band's hit song "Cherry Bomb" has been released in full on the movie's official website. It is performed by Fanning, who also lends her voice to three other revamped songs for the soundtrack. She sings solo for "California Paradise", and has a duet with Stewart for "Queens of Noise" and "Dead End Justice".
"The Runaways" is a biopic that will follow Joan Jett and Cherie Currie as they navigate a rocky road of touring and record label woes. They also have to deal with their abusive manager, all in while their teen years. Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning are joined by Scout Taylor-Compton, Stella Maeve and Alia Shawkat.
The movie is directed and penned by Floria Sigismondi with Jett serving as executive producer. Having been premiered at the 26th Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, January 24, it will be dropped in theaters across the U.S. on April 9. Meanwhile, its soundtrack album has been made for pre-order in digital retails. It is due to arrive in stores on March 23.
