Billy Corgan Declares Love to Jessica Simpson

'My goal in life is to love whoever I think is worth loving, and I think if people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do,' The Smashing Pumpkins' frontman admits.

Many wonder whether or not Billy Corgan had a special relationship with Jessica Simpson seeing that they seemed to be inseparable a couple months ago. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins came forth and said the "Come on Over" singer is "worth loving".

"If I go, 'Oh, we're just friends,' then it's like, 'Did they go out, did he dump her or she dump him, what happened?' It has nothing to do with any of that," the 42-year-old rocker coyly addressed question about his relationship with the songstress. "Sometimes people just like being around each other, and good things come out of that."

While avoiding to give a clear answer on the true nature of his relationship status with Jessica, Billy has nothing but praises for her. "My goal in life is to love whoever I think is worth loving, and I think if people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do," he claimed. He ended his statement saying, "It's really simple."

Billy Corgan and Jessica Simpson sparked romance rumor after they were spotted together in New York City in December 2009. A source close to the singer told People Magazine, at the time, the two have been dating for about four months. When asked whether the two were still together, the source explained, "The two are still close and still really good friend. They are still involved in each other's lives. They are still hanging out."
