Words are, the star of the 'Harry Potter' series picked up the stomach bug on his way to New York and has spent two days in a hospital for dehydration treatment.

Daniel Radcliffe has been hospitalized for food poisoning. According to The Sun, the 20-year-old spent two days in hospital when he visited New York recently. He flew to the Big Apple to film a PSA for the Trevor Project, a suicide prevention charity for gay and transgender youth.
The English actor was reportedly treated for dehydration after picking up the illness on his way to the City That Never Sleeps, and has made his return to London on Saturday, March 6. On his condition during the flight, a passenger shared, "He looked as white as a sheet. He said he felt like he was going to die and had spent most of his time on the toilet."
The leading man of 2009's "
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" shot the PSA on Friday, February 26. On the same day, the straight actor explained why he lends his famous face. "I grew up knowing a lot of gay men and it was never something that I even thought twice about - that some men were gay and some weren't," he said.
"And then I went to school and [for] the first time...I came across homophobia. I had never encountered it before. It shocked me," Radcliffe further recalled his experience. "I have always hated anybody who is not tolerant of gay men or lesbians or bisexuals. Now I am in the very fortunate position where I can actually help or do something about it."
Daniel Radcliffe will be seen reprising his role as Harry Potter in the last two installments of the boy wizard series, "
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" and "
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II". Both movies are scheduled to hit U.S theaters on November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011 respectively. He joins co-stars
