Rumor has it, the Barbadian singer has met the L.A. Dodgers outfielder's family when she attended his charity bash, Ante Up for Autism, over the weekend.
Though keeping mum on her possible romance with Matt Kemp,
Rihanna could be having something more than a mere friendship with the L.A. Dodgers outfielder. E! News has recently reported that the "Russian Roulette" singer has flown to Arizona from Berlin just so she could attend his charity bash, Ante Up for Autism.
The 22-year-old made her way back to the U.S. on Saturday, March 6 after performing at the Echo Awards in Berlin on Thursday, March 4. "Matt was happy she came," an insider said. "It was an awesome show of support." The inside source additionally mentioned that the singer she met his family there, detailing "Rihanna fit right in as if they all knew each other. It was comfortable."
Ante Up for Autism gala, according to E!, was kicked off with Vegas-style gaming and cocktails. The event included a live and a silent auction and followed by dinner and dancing. The second-annual event raised $170,000 with only 150 people in attendance. The cause is close to Kemp's heart since his brother is autistic.
Weeks earlier, Matt Kemp threw a birthday Bash for Rihanna in Phoenix, Arizona to mark her 22nd birthday. The Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder wanted the "Umbrella" hitmaker's party to be special, especially after she was forced to cancel her 21st birthday celebration following Brown's assault in early 2009.
An insider told E! News, "[Matt] really wanted to do something nice for Rihanna this year since she didn't have much of a 21st birthday last year." The party, which was made merry with "closest friends, good Jamaican food, a photo booth, dancing and a nice cake," also witnessed the singer getting a lap dance from female midget stripper.
