Of 'Who We Are', the songstress says, 'I was inspired to write the theme song for the show to reflect what I observed - that there is a unique beauty that lies within each of us, flaws and all.'
Jessica Simpson has premiered new song "Who We Are" on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show on Tuesday morning, March 9. The tune will serve as the theme song for her new reality series, "The Price of Beauty", which will make its debut on VH1 at 10 P.M. ET/PT next Monday on March 15.
To be available for download beginning March 9 at her official site, the single produced by Kerry Brown was co-written by the 29-year-old songstress along with Evan Bogart, Shari Short and Billy Corgan. It is inspired by her travels around the world to discover what beauty is and means to other cultures.
"I was so moved by the eight cultures I explored for my new show," Jessica explained. "The women I met were so incredibly different in their customs and traditions but there was a common thread between them in their beauty. I was inspired to write the theme song for the show to reflect what I observed- that there is a unique beauty that lies within each of us, flaws and all. Our hearts, our souls, our passions are what make us each beautiful."
Jessica Simpson serves as host and executive producer of "The Price of Beauty". For the show, she embarks on a worldwide tour, where she travels to Thailand, France, Mumbai, Uganda, Morocco, Japan and Brazil before heading back home to the United States, to discover to what constitutes beauty around the globe.
