After she dumped her financier boyfriend of two years Jay Barrymore, the 'Harry Potter' beauty reportedly has spent a lot of time with the Spanish musician and fellow student at Brown University.
"Harry Potter" beauty
Emma Watson is no longer together with financier boyfriend Jay Barrymore. Britain's Daily Mail reported that the 19-year-old has ended the two-year romance before sparking speculation that she could be hooking up with Spanish musician Rafael Cebrian following the split.
On the split itself, a friend told the publication, "Emma and Jay, 28, were in trouble for months and with Emma at Brown University in America, the transatlantic gap proved too much for their relationship to survive." The friend added since the split, "Emma has been spending a lot of time with Rafael and they are virtually inseparable.' "
Rumors that Emma and Jay had called it quit surfaced in late November 2009 when she was spotted watching a Rangers game at Madison Square Garden in New York with Cebrian. "They were sitting with Yves Saint Laurent creative director Stefano Pilati. But Emma and Rafael looked like they were on a date. They were sitting very close together," a spy told New York Post at the time.
In early December however, news came out that Emma and Jay had spent Thanksgiving together at the Round Hill resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Nonetheless, Cebrian has recently managed to talk Emma into joining the cast of Brown University Students production of Chekhov's Three Sister and reportedly grew closer together.
"Rafael belongs to the Production Workshop, a student-run theatre group at Brown," a source detailed on the matter. "He's been acting with them since he moved to the US, and he has got Emma involved. This is a new experience for Emma and she's a little nervous about her performance, but the play has already sold out. She's hoping it will be a critical success."
