Contributing to the soundtrack of Matthew Vaughn-directed movie, the British singer-songwriter debuts a music video in support of its title track.
A music video for the title track of "
Kick-Ass" soundtrack, which is performed by British singer-songwriter
Mika, has just been made available for viewing pleasure. Debuted via The Sun, the clip opens with a scene where the 26-year-old lays flat on the street of an alley after being mugged.
Intercepting footage of the "Grace Kelly" hitmaker singing the song are some of the scenes from the upcoming superhero film. In fact, most of the video is dominated with the scenes that offer another look at the cast ensemble that include
Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and
Nicolas Cage.
A 10th official U.K. single for Mika, "Kick-Ass" song itself is produced by top-notch producer RedOne, who is the mastermind behind
Lady GaGa's and
Akon's hit singles. It is included in the movie's soundtrack, which will be released on April 6, along with songs from
The Prodigy, The Pretty Reckless,
Ellie Goulding and
Elvis Presley.
Meanwhile, the movie tells the story of Dave Lizewski, an ordinary teenage boy who decides to be a real life hero donning a superhero suit in his action. Adapted from a comic book series by John Romita, Jr. and Mark Millar, this action fantasy is directed by Matthew Vaughn and is set for U.S. release on April 16.
