The entire cast of the musical comedy series, including Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Matthew Morrison, will have a sit down in addition to the revelation of never-before-seen backstage video.
"The Oprah Winfrey Show" will get a visit from the cast of FOX's hit series "Glee" in its upcoming episode. Harpo Productions, as reported by Los Angeles Times, has announced on Thursday, March 18 that
Oprah Winfrey will be dedicating her entire show on April 7 to this year's Golden Globe winner for Best Television Series.
Four of the series' stars,
Jane Lynch,
Lea Michele,
Cory Monteith and
Matthew Morrison, have already been confirmed to have a sit down with the daytime talk show queen in addition to show creator Ryan Murphy. Cory, who plays Finn Hudson, in particular has tweeted over his excitement, "We're going on Oprah! April 7th! Gonna be a blast."
The cast's appearance on "Oprah" comes two days after they . According to Entertainment Weekly, during the particular episode, the cast will also perform musical number in addition to the interview. There would be a screening of never-before-seen backstage video as well.
In anticipation to the "Glee" episode, a "destination page" for the Gleeks will be launched on Oprah.com starting Monday, March 29. In it, the show's dedicated fans can finds various features that include a character guide to their favorite cast members, a quiz that tests their "Glee" IQ and a behind-the-scenes photo gallery.
"Glee" returns to the small screen for the remaining episodes of season 1 starting on April 13. The cast, in the meantime, will go on a national tour beginning May 18 in Phoenix, Arizona.
