In the fantasy film, Zac is Charlie St. Cloud. Overcome by grief at the death of his younger brother Sam, he takes a job as caretaker of the cemetery where his brother is buried. Having a special lasting bond with Sam, he can still meet up with him each night. When an adventurous woman enters his life though, he is put in between keeping a promise he made to Sam or going after the girl he loves.
"Charlie St. Cloud" is based on the 2004 novel by Ben Sherwood. It sees the collaboration between director Burr Steers and Zac Efron after 2009 comedy "
17 Again". Charlie Tahan,
Kim Basinger and Chris Massoglia are among the cast ensemble. This movie is due to open in U.S. theaters on October 15.
