One of the straps on the 'Grey's Anatomy' actress' red Donna Karan dress breaks when she stands on stage to accept the award for Female Star of the Year at ShoWest in Las Vegas.
Katherine Heigl came close to being embarrassed at ShoWest in Las Vegas due to wardrobe malfunction. Delivering the acceptance speech for her Female Star of the Year award on Thursday, March 18, she almost bared more than what she wants people to see when the strap on her red Donna Karan dress came undone on stage.
The 31-year-old actress was quick to get a hold on the strap before anything was exposed though. Shocked by the incident and still holding on the loose strap, she struggled to continue her speech. But, it was not for long as Access Hollywood host Billy Bush came to her rescue and helped the actress to hold the strap in place so that she can continue her speech.
Later on, Bush took it to his Twitter account to share the experience. "Wh at a moment. Heigl's dress pops a strap. I end up holding it tight from behind. never held such power," one of his tweets read. In another one, he wrote, "I fought some adolescent instincts." On his help, a representative for Heigl told Us Magazine that the actress "appreciated Billy's 'support."
On another news, Heigl has opened up to Us Magazine about her transformation into being a brunette. "It's for a role we haven't even begun pre-production on," the natural blonde explained. "It's based on Janet Evanovich's novel One for the Money." In the romantic comedy, she will take on the role of wisecracking New Jersey detective Stephanie Plum.
As for her reaction seeing herself as a brunette, the star of "The Ugly Truth" admitted, "I was pretty shocked at first...I was like, 'wow, it's dark, that's not just brown, that's black.' It took me a good day and a half to totally embrace it." She also confessed that her husband, Josh Kelley, "just freaked out immediately."
