Vanessa Hudgens Gets to Train With Navy Seals

'I was bawling my eyes out because they push you so hard,' the 'High School Musical' beauty says when recalling her grueling workouts for Zack Snyder's action comedy 'Sucker Punch'.

Preparing for her bad-ass role in upcoming movie "Sucker Punch", Vanessa Hudgens gets more than just a mere personal trainer. At 2010 ShoWest movie convention in Las Vegas, the Gabriella Montez of the "High School Musical" series told People magazine that she got to train with Navy Seals for five months.

"It was the most intense thing that anyone could ever do," the 21-year-old shared about the grueling workouts she had with the special forces. "I was bawling my eyes out because they push you so hard." Though so, she shared that it was worth the pain. "But it's amazing what you find from it," she said. "When you go so far you find a certain Zen within that and you know you can do anything. It's very empowering."

Vanessa will break out from her typical teen role as she will be seen portraying an inmate named Blondie in "Sucker Punch". Although she didn't give much on details of her character during the interview, the girlfriend of actor Zac Efron did teased, "I walk around with the biggest guns you have ever seen."

Previously, director/screenwriter Zack Snyder gushed on what people should expect to see from the "Beastly" actress. "You're going to see her shooting machine guns, fighting, beating the sh-t out of people," he said. "It'll allow her to stretch herself and do whatever she wants, and not be too exposed by the movie - but also, on the other hand, do things that people have never seen her do."

"Sucker Punch" centers on a young girl who is confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather. Stuck in the place, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain. It stars Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone, and is due to come out in U.S. theaters on March 25, 2011.
