Although it was originally set for March 30 release, the 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel' remix album from R 'n' B diva reportedly won't see the light of day.
Rumor that
Mariah Carey's "Angels Advocate" has been shelved could be true after all. According to That Grape Juice, the new set from the R 'n' B diva has officially been put on the back burner. The site also mentioned that CD Now has changed the release date status of the album to "Released Canceled".
"Angels" supposedly is Mariah's thirteenth studio album and second remix album. To include new productions from the likes of
Timbaland,
Jermaine Dupri and
Swizz Beatz, it will contain remixes of her last studio album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". It was originally scheduled for release in the U.S. on March 30.
The first single from the album, "Up Out My Face", has been released last month. Featuring
Nicki Minaj, it is currently placed #100 on the U.S. Hot 100 and at #39 the U.S. R 'n' B Chart. Meanwhile, its second single "Angels Cry" features
Ne-Yo and serves as the LP's international lead single. Mariah's camp has yet to comment on the album's latest cancellation rumor.
