In a recent interview, Liam Hemsworth reveals that he actually got the chance to star in Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action movie.

Liam Hemsworth, has been alleged to have lost a chance to star in "
The Expendables". Latest report claimed that the Australian actor was among those who have been dropped from the highly-anticipated action movie because the writers decided they had too many characters already.
In an interview with the Sunday Herald Sun newspaper, Liam recalled the moment he got to speak with director/star
Sylvester Stallone over his role. "I was at my friend's house and I got a phone call from my Australian agent who had sent my tape in a few days before and he said, 'Stallone is going to call you in a few days,' "
The actor who will be seen starring as Miley's love interest in "
The Last Song" went on to share his reaction at the time, "I went back into my buddy�s house and said, 'Rocky's gonna give me a call, no big deal.' " He added that Stallone "called a few days later and it was weird speaking to him on the phone in my house, while I am looking at his DVDs of Rocky and Rambo on the shelf."
