Sacha Baron Cohen and
Isla Fisher have officially become husband and wife, if Woman's Day is to be trusted. According to the publication, the longtime couple has exchanged their wedding vows in a romantic sunset ceremony in Paris last Monday, March 15. The two reportedly invited only a few close relatives to attend the traditional Jewish ceremony.
The publication further claimed 34-year-old Isla shared the happy news to friends around the world the next day in an e-mail. "We did it - we're married! It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much," her e-mail read. "I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss - just us!"
The "
Borat" star and the "
Wedding Crashers" beauty have been together for about eight years. The twosome become engaged in 2004. On October 19, 2007, they welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Olive Cohen. Although the longtime couple already have Olive, they postponed their wedding several times before, leading to speculation they were reluctant to make their relationship official.
However, a friend of the pair said reluctance was never been the case. "They were never bothered by the constant public pressure to marry and all along were just considering the venue - Australia or the U.S.," the friend insisted. "Paris was the late starter but was the best option at short notice for their families, and it won them over with romance."
