is joining forces with Kmart to launch a back-to-school clothing line. Women's Wear Daily reported that the 17-year-old Disney star is taking her new fashion line, Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez, to Kmart's stores across the U.S. and in Puerto Rico to give its junior department a make-over.
John Goodman, executive vice president of home and apparel for Sears Holdings Corp., said of the collaboration, "She will be the centerpiece of the juniors business and hopefully add credibility to the apparel business in the whole Kmart store." He added, "This is part of the plan to revamp and revitalize the apparel business at Sears and Kmart."
Selena herself gushed about what to be expected from Dream Out Loud. "[It's] the whole Texan cowgirl meets the glam Boho chic of Hollywood," she shared. "Since the announcement, we added a lot of accessories. I love scarves, and long necklaces and cute bangles. It's constantly changing, which is cool. It will change with me."
Back in mid-February, the Alex Russo of Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place" has made use of her Facebook account to reveal and when it will be launched.
