Vanessa Hudgens Rests on Alex Pettyfer in New 'Beastly' Stills

New pictures of the upcoming movie shows the 21-year-old beauty and the 20-year-old heartthrob resting at a rose garden, while another shot shows Vanessa carried by Alex.

In new still of Vanessa Hudgens' upcoming movie "Beastly", the 21-year-old actress is seen resting on Alex Pettyfer's thigh with a rose garden as the background. While on another super sweet still, the "High School Musical" star is carried by Alex's Kyle Kingson.

The Daniel Barnz-directed movies follows Alex's character in a search of true love after he is cursed with a horribly unattractive look for his cruel deed to Mary-Kate Olsen's Kendra. Being banished to Brooklyn following the curse, Alex's journey leads him into Lindy, played by Vanessa, from who he will find true love.

On how Vanessa built a chemistry with Alex, she recently told MTV, "We did bond over music; I think that's always an easy thing to get to know someone." She further shared, "It was really funny, because in the audition, he would not take his ear buds out. He just kept them in! And I'm like, 'So, whatcha listening to?' "

"We bonded over Kings of Leon; he likes Kings of Leon as well, and I'm the biggest fan," Vanessa added. "And sometimes, before scenes, I would listen to [the Plain White T's'] 'Hey There Delilah' before a really sweet scene too, because I think it just puts you in the right headspace."

In the romance big screen project, Vanessa and Alex star opposite Neil Patrick Harris, Peter Krause, Lisa Gay Hamilton and Erik Knudsen. The film is set to be released in U.S. theaters on July 30.
