Having avoided the spotlight ever since her husband's cheating scandal broke out, the Oscar-winning actress is finally ready to come out from her hiding to receive her MTV Generation Award kudo.
Months after her husband Jesse James's cheating scandal became the subject of news headlines, Oscar-winning actress
Sandra Bullock is finally ready to come out from her seclusion. The 45-year-old actress has, through her representative, confirmed "she will be attending" the upcoming 2010 MTV Movie Awards.
Although Sandra will attend the annual ceremony, her rep made note that the star of "
The Blind Side" won't be doing any interviews. She will come to the awards show to receive the MTV Generation Award "for her riveting and diverse contributions to the film industry and for entertaining generations over the last two decades."
Sandra is the first female recipient to be honored with this award. Of her selection, MTV General Manager Stephen Friedman said, "Sandra is one of those rare individuals who is adored by our audience as both an actress and a role model." The actress joins director Spike Lee, and actors
Tom Cruise,
Jim Carrey,
Mike Myers and
Adam Sandler as the award's recipients.
2010 MTV Movie Awards will be broadcast live from the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California on Sunday, June 6.
Aziz Ansari serves as host, while the likes of
Tom Cruise,
Cameron Diaz,
Zac Efron,
Vanessa Hudgens,
Jonah Hill, and
Jessica Biel will present the golden popcorns.
