Family publicist says that it was Simon Monjack's wish to be laid to rest next to the 'Clueless' actress who passed away just five months earlier.
Simon Monjack is to be buried next to his late wife Brittany Murphy. The British screenwriter, who died of a suspected heart attack on Sunday, May 23, will reportedly be laid to rest at Los Angeles' Forest Lawn cemetery alongside the "Clueless" actress, who passed away just five months ago after collapsing in the shower. Robert Neal, the Murphy and Monjack family publicist, said, "That was definitely his wish. It's safe to say that wish will be fulfilled."
The results of toxicology tests are being awaited before the 39-year-old screenwriter's official cause of death can be ascertained. However, his publicist revealed earlier this week that Simon had been trying to put off a bypass operation for his condition until after a planned charity event in September for the Brittany Murphy Foundation.
Roger said, "I can tell you he was excited about what the future held in terms of the legacy of Brittany Murphy. He looked fine to me. As far as we know he passed away of natural causes. He did have a heart condition and he was due for bypass heart surgery."
The writer was found unconscious at the home he shared with the actress by her mother Sharon Murphy, who also discovered Brittany's body in the shower of the home. Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter has previously revealed prescription drugs were found near Monjack's body, although he has refused to give any further details.
