Chace Crawford has been charged with pot possession and is facing six months behind bars. TMZ reported on Friday, June 11 that Collin County District Attorney has officially charged the Nate Archibald of "Gossip Girl" with a single misdemeanor count.
If he is proven guilty, the actor who will be seen starring as a drug dealer named White Mike in upcoming movie "
Twelve" could be spending a maximum of six months behind bars. The 24-year-old hunk may also be ordered to pay $2,000 fine. No court date has been set for his case just yet.
Chace was arrested by the police on Friday, June 4 for carrying less than 2 ounces of marijuana. Hollywood Life reported that the TV actor was caught rolling a joint while sitting in the driver's seat of a friend's 2003 Nissan 350Z when an officer approached him during a routine check. It was said that he was "very polite and low key in a pair of jeans and flip flops and never identified himself."

The Covenant" actor after the arrest, an insider told Us Weekly, "He is pissed. He wasn't smoking, the pot was in the car and it was his friend's." Despite the claim, the actor's old frat brother from Pepperdine University admitted, "In college, we use to cut class and go lie on the beach and smoke weed. It sucks that he got arrested!"
