Simon Monjack is said to have hidden the existence of his kids from two previous relationships after his family discovered emails requesting money on his laptop.
Simon Monjack reportedly had two secret children at the time of his death. The British screenwriter, who was found dead last month just five months after wife Brittany Murphy died, is said to have hidden the existence of the kids from two previous relationships and allegedly owed both mothers child support.
According to TMZ, Simon's family, including his brother, mother and therapist, discovered emails requesting money on his laptop after staying with Brittany's mother Sharon last week. The documents on the computer claim he had a son from one woman and a daughter from another.
Evidence of money transfers were also found showing Simon sent $48,000 to his lawyer and other amounts overseas. The screenwriter's family have now passed the computer on to investigators, while his mother-in-law has filed a theft report with police after the laptop went missing.
Following his death, Simon, who had claimed he and the actress were ready to try for a family right before she died, was laid to rest next to his late wife. Family spokesman Roger Neal said, "It was his wish to be laid to rest next to her." Murphy died in December at the age of 32.
