After more than eight years together, the 'Indiana Jones' actor and the 'Brothers and Sisters' star have finally tied the knot in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Tuesday, June 15.
Harrison Ford has finally married his long-term partner Calista Flockhart. After more than eight years together, the "
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" star has exchanged vows with the "Brothers & Sisters" star on Tuesday, June 15, in Sante Fe, New Mexico, where he is currently filming "
Cowboys and Aliens".
Confirming the happy news was the couple's representatives. According to People magazine, the ceremony took place at the Governor's Mansion and was officiated by New Mexico's Chief Justice, Charles W. Daniels. Their adopted son Liam was in attendance, as were Governor Bill Richardson and wife Barbara, who were witnesses for the bride and groom.
TMZ reported that their marriage license was filed on Wednesday, June 16 in the County Clerk's Office. It is the first marriage for 45-year-old Calista, but third for 67-year-old Harrison. The "
Extraordinary Measures" actor had been married to Mary Marquardt and screenwriter Melissa Mathison before. From those marriages, he has four biological children and three grandchildren.
Harrison first met Calista at the Golden Globes in January 2002 where she accidentally spill a glass of wine on him. The former "Ally McBeal" star later on corrected the report of their first encounter, telling People magazine, "We were having a conversation for maybe 20 minutes before the wine spilled, and the truth is, Harrison spilled the wine!"
The twosome got engaged in early February 2009. The actor who is also known for his role as Han Solo in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, reportedly surprised the TV actress with an engagement ring on Valentine's Day weekend. They were, at the time, away on a family vacation with son Liam.
