Changing his 'optimistic view' of the singer's rude gesture, the 'Seinfeld' star says, 'I can't believe they put her in my box that I paid for. You give people the finger and you get upgraded?'
Jerry Seinfeld is no longer looking at
Lady GaGa's Citi Field antics in a positive light. In fact, during an interview with New York's WFAN Sports Radio, the 56-year-old comedian expressed his disgust at the eccentric pop singer who and moved to his VIP box during a game earlier this month.
While a day after the incident he stated that the singer's offensive behavior was "a sign that she wants the Mets to be in first place as badly as they do," he told Steve Somers last Monday night on June 21 he didn't feel the same way now. "You know I changed my mind, you're right, this woman's a jerk," so he said.
The TV star who has made a cameo appearance on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" went on to rant, "I hate her. I can't believe they put her in my box that I paid for." Not stopping there, he continued on by throwing rhetorical questions, "You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we're living in now? It's pathetic."
Asked whether he was aware the "Bad Romance" singer took over his box, the voice star and producer of "
Bee Movie" responded, "No, how would I know anything? I wasn't even there." He added, "I came for the night game and heard all about it. That was a double-header that day, remember? Oh, she's a jerk. Giving the finger, what is she giving the finger? Speaking of interesting and new...how old is the finger?"
Addressing GaGa's antics as a possible attempt to gain popularity, the stand-up comic said, "I don't know what these people think or how they promote their careers,. I'm older, I'm 56...I'm not one of these 'all publicity is good' people. People talk about you need exposure - you could die of exposure. I don't understand how this is good for her."
