Since the departure of Simon Cowell leaves one judge seat empty, the 'Battlefield' hitmaker speaks up about who she deems fit to replace the sharp tongue judge on the reality show.
Jordin Sparks apparently would like to see
P. Diddy taking on the chair that was once belonged to
Simon Cowell on "American Idol". With one judge seat being left vacant after Simon bid his goodbye, the "Battlefield" hitmaker tossed in the music mogul's name for the potential new judge of the reality show.
"As far as personality goes, he says what's on his mind. Simon didn't want to hurt people's feelings, it just came off that way," the 20-year-old explained to Hollywood Life why she deems Diddy would be suitable for the role. "He's the best fit! He was great on 'Making the Band', he's a producer and he's been in the industry for a long time. I think he'd probably be the best fit."
Though so, the brunette beauty pointed out that the former boyfriend of
Jennifer Lopez must be careful over what he's going to say on camera. "We just need to tell him he needs to swear less," she said. "They'll have to bleep him out all the time!" She also noted that radio personality
Howard Stern might not be an appropriate choice, reasoning that "Idol" is a family show.
"Idol" aside, Jordin also talked about FOX's "Glee". Admitting she hasn't been asked to appear on the hit series, the pop singer gushed, "but I was so stoked when they used my song ["No Air" was sung by
Cory Monteith and
Lea Michele] on the show. I heard it and I YouTubed the scene. A lot of my friends are Gleeks and it's cool that there's a show out there for all the drama kids!"
The winner of "American Idol" season 6 additionally opened up that she wants to team up on a tour with her senior
Kelly Clarkson. "She's amazing! I looked her up before I even did Idol, I wanted to audition after I saw her win," she moreover explained her reasons. "She's super down-to-earth and so funny, not to mention that her voice is out of this world!"
