Also turning heads on the red carpet outside the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles are Jada Pinkett Smith, Nick Cannon and Black Eyed Peas' Stacy Ferguson a.k.a Fergie.
2010 BET Awards is taking place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 27. Before the show was kicked off though, the biggest stars in African American entertainment community has showed off their best look as they hit the red carpet. Among those looking stunning for the occasion were
Ciara and
Ashanti.
Ciara sizzled on the red carpet in her black and gold lace dress which features embellishments of fringes. Keeping her make-up soft and styling her hair in light tousled curls, the singer who made her debut with hit single "Goodies" paired her sexy dress with black boots. Fellow R&B singer Ashanti, in the meantime, also looked elegant in her floor-length red dress which features origami-like detail.
Other stars turning head on the red carpet included
Stacy Ferguson a.k.a Fergie of the
Black Eyed Peas,
Jada Pinkett Smith and
Vivica A. Fox. Fergie opted to go with a black-and-white mini dress, while Jada showed off her edgy style by wearing a striped blouse topped with black blazer and ditching the pants. Vivica went with a figure-flaunting, lace overlay mini.
In the men's department, both
John Legend and
Mariah Carey's husband
Nick Cannon looked dapper in their tailored suit. Presenting a completely opposite look were rap trio N.E.R.D and music mogul
P. Diddy. N.E.R.D stayed true to their hip hop style with their casual look, while Diddy ditched his suit for a black and white ensemble.
This year's BET Awards is hosted by
Queen Latifah who is also set to perform. Other stars billed to perform as well included
Usher,
Eminem,
Alicia Keys,
Kanye West, P. Diddy's Dirty Money,
T.I.,
Drake,
Nicki Minaj and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient
Prince.
