While it was reported to cost 500,000 dollars, sources claim that the wedding of the 'American Idol' alum to Mike Fisher 'wasn't really flashy', but was 'a big party' with 'Southern flavor' food.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher were off to their honeymoon, details of their reported $500,000 wedding has been shared. According to Us Magazine, sources have described the lavish Saturday, July 10 nuptials held at a luxury resort, the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia as a nice down-to-earth party with a Southern flavor.
A waiter serving at the bash informed the mag, "The wedding was gorgeous." The server detailed that the guests were treated with food with "a Southern flavor" and that there were a lot of "delicious" cupcakes. The waiter went on that the reception "was a big party" that involved "a lot of eating [and] a lot of drinking."
Another source moreover revealed that while the price tag for the wedding was reported to be $500,000, the party was "down-to-earth...[it] wasn't really flashy." The decor "was beautiful" with "a lot of flowers." A witness chimed in, "It wasn't one of those crazy weddings you hear about in Hollywood. It was a nice party for a nice couple."
For the pampering before the big day, another hotel source noted that Carrie and others chose to go with "romantic" and "classic" hairstyles. The guests opted for "light and feminine" nails for their mani-pedis. "[Carrie] really wanted to make sure that her guests had a great time and were pampered while they were here," an insider shared.
Carrie and Mike have been snapped passing through Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday, July 11. The newlyweds were said heading to their honeymoon destination in Bora Bora. Sporting a casual look with jean shorts paired with a striped tank top and cardigan, the "Cowboy Casanova" hitmaker looked happy while holding onto , as People magazine reported.
